Building the catch pen | 23 July 2026 |
Wouter and Maarten have been building the catch pen. A small area in which we will keep the geese with two long leads which will bring the geese from the water into the holding pen. If we can create enough pressure.![]() This is zoomed in, on that beach. You can see the rare white barnacle goose. It is called a leucistic colour pattern. Not an albino. It has black eyes and there are usually one or two of this colour morph in the population. ![]() Below a video, in which I explain the nets in Dutch. Tonight, Douwe Jelle and Sander are practising there skills in using a sea kano. Tomorrow, we will do it for real.
